Everyone needs to read the book about Andrea Yates from Texas. While hers was postpartum psychosis, this sounds like pre-partum or some type of pregnancy psychosis…. Unless she was a complete psychopath/murderer, but it sounds like one of the stories where she was expected to be perfect, etc..
