The coolant system is the most neglected maintenance that leads to engine failure secondary to oil changes. Never had tap water bcoz it will rust your entire system.

Never get an engine that hot a tow bill is gonna be cheaper then the money and effort to swap an engine also it’s toast if you got it so hot it won’t run it might run again when it cools off but your headgasket is going to be toast and that’s best case you probably also made the rings lose tension and possibly melted some pistons
