Who’s to say “it had to stop” other than the simple fact that the means to this world was literally taken away. Who’s to say it’s necessary to go to meetings when all you’re chasing is happiness and a fulfillment nothing else gives. He was surrendered to the flow of the universe before he found this life and there’s a reason he didn’t want to go back to it after he found his own current to swim down. Surrendering back to monotony isn’t liberating it’s retreating. Do we live here because we want to or because we can’t feasibly be somewhere else all the time?
