![South Korean skincare brand Laneige is closing its official online store in the Philippines by September 30, with the announcement hinting at potential exits by parent company Amorepacific’s other brands in the country. Laneige Philippines announced the closure in a pop-up message on its official website. The notice is dated August 10, but website visitors only began seeing the announcement on September 23. “After careful consideration, AMOREPACIFIC Philippines will be closing LANEIGE Philippines Official Store effective September 30th, 2026. This is part of AMOREPACIFIC Philippines' withdrawal of its Philippine operations. The store will continue to operate as normal until the closure date, after which we will no longer accept new orders or process transactions,” part of the notice read. Orders placed before the closure date would be fulfilled as scheduled, while return and refund requests may also be submitted before September 30. The company also said all unused promotional points and coupons would expire after the closure date. Laneige is known for its hydration-focused skincare and makeup products. Its Lip Sleeping Mask is a cult favorite among beauty enthusiasts worldwide. The closure notice suggests that other brands under South Korean beauty conglomerate Amorepacific may also follow. Two brands presently have official operations in the Philippines: skincare giant Innisfree and haircare line Mise en Scène. Sensitive skin-focused line COSRX is also sold through reputable retailers. Beauty enthusiasts have already suspected a potential exit by Amorepacific brands in the country, after Laneige and Innisfree closed physical stores and shifted to online-only sales beginning July 1 this year. Amorepacific first launched in the Philippines through Etude, previously known as Etude House, in 2009.
