Leather vs vegan leather: which is really more sustainable? This has been an ongoing conversation in fashion, and there are lots of perspectives on it. From my experience working with different shoe materials over the past 10+ years as a shoe desginer, I can say it’s rarely as simple as “real leather = good” or “vegan leather = bad”, or the other way around. Each material has its own strengths, challenges, and trade-offs. In this video I share some of the insights I’ve learned by comparing cow leather, PU, and mycelium leather.
