Yuhhh. Today was my first day of my Ausbildung and I told the teacher shortly before to please not share that I’m American. She later asked why and it’s because I don’t want to be asked for the 100th time if I have shot a gun been in a school shooting and have a discussion about my healthcare system. 💖🎀

As a danish person living in Germany, I can confirm this works, I didn’t realize until now but no one has ever asked me to speak danish to them and very rarely will they ask any kind of follow up questions
