What if it was not a meaningless question? What if gravity actually came from the second law of thermodynamics, making time tied to the amount of possible states? And what if the direction those states develop in, going from less to more, is just a side effect of the timeline of an expanding universe? Maybe we are not in an ever-expanding, accelerating universe, but instead an ever-diffluminating one. If we go back in time till the beginning, time starts losing its whole concept. Before the Big Bang, there might have just been a reverse universe.
What if these are hints of the shape of the everything? Not just the shape of reality, not even the shape of the multiverse, but the shape of the everything itself. The shape of the everything is randomness where order just appears and disappears, right there in the very singular point of the Big Bang. That was the point with the most order and the least entropy. It developed from there into a scattering randomness once again. It went from scattering randomness into accidental order through continuous indetermination in this undefined Hilbert space, turning into an illusion of reality fading away into what it was before. Before the Big Bang, time ran backwards, and the laws of thermodynamics ran backwards too, the second law specifically.
