Ok so thats not good for your spine and will cause neck pain because its too elevated. if you want no pain for a back sleeper sleep with no pillow, front sleeper use a slim donut pillow to breath but it has to be slim like an inch or inch and a half and side sleepers like me just use a pillow the size of your shoulder so your neck is straight if its too slim it will hurt on the neck your sleeping on and vise versa if its too high depends on your shoulder length

and it does help too if you don't face your head North face your feet North. or if you can't do that east or west, do not face your head North. you can look that up. better ways to sleep would be east, south or west
