His dad needs to get a statement from the school, explaining how the mother is constantly interrupting his education. Then the sun needs to get his mom blaming him for the girls accident. And they need to go back to court. The mother is abusive.

Calling CPS because the stepsister got hurt due to being abandoned by her guardians might help OPs case.

He can take her to court for educational neglect. That’s a real thing. She’s disrupting his education by that and the stress and negative emotions.

The legal way to do with this is ask for a different judge.

The mom is projecting. I think it is disgusting she isn't feeling bad and taking responsibility. He is just a kid. How you could blame a kid for something like this when you're the PARENT is so messed up.

I feel sorry for the stepsister. It sounds like her actual dad and her stepmum and possibly her bio mum are all neglecting her.

The father needs to petition the court for a guardian ad litem. They are an advocate solely for the child. What she’s doing should be considered harmful because of the school thing alone.

I think if he went to cps they would investigate. He didn’t respond to the text, but they still didn’t pick up the daughter and she had to be hospitalized. That’s obvious neglect.

Am I the only one my one wondering where the stepsister’s bio mom is. He didn’t specify in the post. And no comments asking about this were mentioned.

cps likely won't do anything about this, but it will create a paper trail that op can bring up in court

Just refuse to go to her house next time. Don’t run away. Don’t make a scene. Just don’t go. She can’t physically drag you there 🤷🏻‍♀

sending reports to CPS isn't a magic bullet, but having a paper trail of complaints held by a government office does.

Op should tel teachers Mom and stepdad neglect stepsister and left her to walk home by her self resulting in serious injuries. Honestly if she is old enough to be in scouts ( not daisies but Brownies or Juniors) she should be able to walk home sefely. Parentification is abuse to bothe kids.

When I was a kid, my mother tried to keep me away from my dad. i just quit doing chores around. The house was belligerent called her by her first name and threatened. If my stepdad touched me, I would call the cops as he's not my father. my mother caved after a few weeks

Request a Gaurdian Ad Litem & a different judge. Dad could 💯 prove a toxic environment and Guardian Ad Litem will listen to the teen and tell the court the minor’s choice

as a child, I was in a similar situation. cps does nothing to help the kids, even when there are documented situations/behavioral regressing

Wait wait wait. So when OP isn’t around, he doesn’t know who picks up the stepsister? Is there a chance she walks home by herself regularly?
