China is not as high income as developed countries, it thrived after integrating capitalism, I even argue that the metrics are not appropriate for showing QOL. At least use real GDPPC or purchasing power pls.

My simplified understanding of communism was that is was the end goal of socialism. a point where there was no longer a need for centralized government because there were no longer private businesses and stuff to contend with? And then marxism is the theory of all of that process? So I get confused when they are used interchangeably. Is this colloquial or is there reasoning on why they can be interchangeable?
