RoyalRoad is so much better than Webnovel in general, and has a much higher earning ceiling as well as future potential for authors. Only positive for Webnovel is that it helps newer authors gain an audience, where as in Royalroad the competition is a hundred times harder.

Unfortunately a lot of authors have clauses in their contracts that force them to keep to a certain upload schedule. I’m not 100% certain but I believe G3 is actually a victim of this issue.

Well they have to post 300 words a day Monday to Sunday and they can’t take a hiatus or they don’t get paid. There isn’t much of an option for them. G3 has done 2600 chapters without a break, even when he goes on vacation he needs to prepare the chapters beforehand. He also said he uses web novel because it was the only option available to him as a Russian.
