@mobility_professionals: Did you know only 22% of people with disabilities are employed compared to 65% without disabilities? That’s why every October we recognize National Disability Employment Awareness Month — to celebrate talent, raise awareness, and push for more inclusive workplaces. Because when barriers are removed, everyone wins. 💙 #NDEAM #InclusionMatters #MobilityProfessionals #Accessibility
Let’s not forget it also shows that workers who are disabled and who are not disabled can still do the same task now, of course, the disabled coworker is going to need more time to get a task done because they can’t move as quick as the non-disabled coworker but the overall point is that the disabled person could do their task and that’s all that matters

I apologize if there's any type bears I am blind I speak into my device and it writes for me I've been unemployed for many years people tell me I'm a liability because my vision but I got 95 in automotive school and graduated I also worked as a blind cashier for years until the sleep that I lived in ripped my income away set of blind person couldn't manage money and then I had to fight from 2016 to 2021 springtime for my freedom to prove someone's blind can manage their money and now I have that back but I lost my job I was working at the time because I couldn't afford public transportation to get back and forth because I lived off a bus line so I will get a friend to drive me and pay them to drive me to a city then I would take public transportation to my job or when the state took my income why they gave me $100 a month to live off of when I was making a couple hundred a week now no one will hire me they don't care about my job history all the amazing jobs I worked at they say being blind is a liability we can't hire you so I turn to song ring and singing and advocating for others my YouTube channel is Joey's adventure 1436 YouTube number is part of my channel's name to tell it apart from others and to show life has no limitation and never judge a book by its cover team know what someone can do

The biggest misconception, that anyone can have over a blind person is that they are not able to do it or that work is just not in the books for them. This just goes to show how much potential and capability the blind community has!

You also neglected to mention that people with disabilities have certain limitations. Those limitations make other people fear working with them because they’re not gonna be able to do everything in the job description. Every disability is a feared disability, and there by people often try to avoid them.

But let me say this. There's a lot of companies that don't hire people with disabilities. I know that there's a lot of people that are bosses, that they're literally discriminating against people that have disabilities, because they think us people that have disabilities are not strong enough or will enough or smart enough to understand what is going on. What their bosses are telling them, but we are strong. Willing people that understand that our feelings that feel with other people feel people are just scared enough to know us. And understand us, because they feel and they think that once we will be around them, our disability goes to them. That's not only how it happens. There's a lot of good companies out there that hire people with disabilities. You just gotta find him find them. Find you a good job that goes with your abilities. Find you a job that you know, you will connect very good at. And be very good at it.
I know my community is strong enough to find a job.We are strong enough to do that. And so many other things do not let your disability stop you for doing what you want to do in life. And being who you want to be in life?Remember, we are stronger. We stick together

Companies discriminate when hiring with disabilities, I've not got employed for quite some time because unless I can stand, bend ,walk for long periods of time or do hard labor or heavy lifting you get overlooked. You cant make someone hire you,im bout homeless due to what I've stated and I go through a job rehabilitation place as well.
