Seasoned sourdough baker here. You definitely don’t need this.

man so many people in here talking about their oven does that already. well guess what great but there's some of us on here that actually think this is a neat gadget to have in their home either way still. tiktok products aren't for everyone if you don't need it cool but someone else might

I have this and love it! In my house there is no humidity regulation so even though yes I could just leave it on a pad or something the humidity levels are difficult to work with. My gluten free sourdough is testy. Bought this, proofs every time properly.

I bought mine from Amazon (before I knew it was here) because my house is never a consistent temperature and I love mine!

This is the one I have. I have a very cold kitchen in the winter, and this has saved my sourdough game two years in a row. 🙏

I'm glad I read the comments. I would never have thought of a heating pad. I'm in northern Minnesota and I keep my house at 65 all winter. I make my dough with a bread machine to poof it on the dough setting then put it in a pan to bake.

Works 100 💯 % better than the oven, especially if it’s cool in your house! Makes the best sourdough!

That's neat. I just use a large cooler with a heating pad set to warm. Works really well for making yogurt too

Just use your oven light or a heating pad instead of buying xtra stuff you gotta store away

I LOVE this thing. My oven also has a proof setting, but I find it's way too warm for sourdough.

I have an over the oven microwave with a light on the bottom of it. I just turn that light on high and it heats the microwave up, just perfect for proofing. You can also set your oven on the lowest setting. It'll go, which is like 150 or 175, and just let it warm up for like 2 minutes. Turn the oven off. Make sure it's not too hot. Then turn on your oven light to help maintain the temperature. And you can prove that way too.
