It’s not.. I’ve seen plenty of short guys marrying beautiful women bc Men’s status depends on achievement. Women’s status on the other hand depends on looks and youth. And you can’t make up for the lack of those.

I just can’t wrap my head around why this is such a common comparison that (in the dating world) men’s height and women’s weight are somehow compared to each other? Like I get that people claim that there is a ’double standard’ somewhere there, but i just dont get the comparison. If we are discussing preferences, which are fine to have btw as long as people are not rude, should we not discuss men’s and women’s height, and the same thing with weight?
