He first made contact with the victim who indicated that she realized her credit card was missing when she received a fraud alert from her credit card company. Someone had successfully used her credit card to charge over $1,000 at Nordstrom and was then attempting to purchase a $3,870 handbag at Louis Vuitton. Fortunately for the victim, the charge was declined. Loss prevention soon realized that the 31-year-old suspect had returned to the store with a much older gentleman. That man, described by Officer Darling as the woman's sugar daddy, purchased the handbag for her using his credit card. Both individuals were stopped by Officer Darling when they attempted to leave Louis Vuitton. The woman initially denied any involvement, but she repeatedly changed her story. After reviewing security camera footage, Officer Darling placed the woman under arrest.
