![My mum used to bake bread for us to eat. It used to have four, sometimes five ingredients in it. They were: Flour, yeast, water, salt. Sometimes, mum would put a teaspoon of sugar in it. This bread contains these ingredients: Wheat Flour [with Calcium, Iron, Niacin (B3) and Thiamin (B1)], Water, Yeast, Salt, Vegetable Oils (Rapeseed and Sustainable Palm), Soya Flour, Preservative: Calcium Propionate; Emulsifiers: E472e, E481; Flour Treatment Agent: Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C ). Basically, that shit I kicked on to the floor is not food. Just because its consumption has been normalised, it doesn’t mean we have to accept it as food. If you want to eat bread, bake your own with four or five ingredients. The reason why one in two of us will get cancer, is because crappy, ultra processed foods like this have normalised.
