@nabiinjapan: 🤝 is japan disappearing? once I believed diversity could make the world more interesting. but looking at society now, I’m not sure. politics, language, and SNS blame—it all feels fragile. still, I want to imagine a Japan where diverse people live together. quiet questions, quiet change. how does Japan look from your side? ・ 🎥 filmed in Tokyo, Japan 👩‍💻 freelance designer / 25 y/o #Vlog #japan #japanvlog #immigration #society

Japan is making a grave mistake to intake 500,000 Indians. I have seen how they erode a country's culture in Hong Kong and Singapore. Taking over the citizens' jobs. They protect, hire and promote their own kind. Most talk alot, overpromise management but contribute very little. I fear the same will happen in Japan.

I know its a hard situation, but either Japanese people need to start having more kids or you have to bring in immigrants. If not there will be no more Japan. It really is that simple.

Until Japan fixes its toxic work culture, cheating culture, and hierarchy system, Japan is doomed.

The fact that Japan only got 3% immigrants residents too makes this such a funny view on things 😭

Everyone online acts like moving to Japan is the ultimate dream, but honestly… who even wants to go there? Cost of living is through the roof, apartments are the size of closets, and just renting one means paying deposits, key money, and finding a guarantor. The work culture is brutal, long hours, unpaid overtime, strict hierarchy, and visas are a headache. If you don’t speak Japanese, even simple stuff like doctor visits, taxes, or a phone contract can turn into a nightmare. Landlords still refuse foreigners and the social isolation is real. And for all the hype, the food is pretty mid once you actually live there every day. Foreigners get blamed for things even though we’re only a tiny fraction of the population. People need to stop romanticizing it, the reality is way less cute than the anime aesthetic

You are right to not want mass immigration in Japan. Look at the west and how it is destroying every country where it is happening.

As far as I can tell, only about 3% of japans population are immigrants. That's like nothing.

let singapore be a sign for japan because we allowed foreigners in before japan did and we are slowly losing our identity, we have people in the government who did not born and grew here that can't even relate to the citizens, and our citizens are slowly but surely growing in tension

Japan reluctant of changes have cause this, dont blame the immigrants seeking a better life. Blame the people in your country not providing a society that function well, good work culture and embracing change.

Imagine this analogy. You bring a stranger into your home to live with you and your family but that person is a different race, speaks a different language, eats different foods, and has different beliefs. That person doesn't become your family. You become two people living in one house. And when he brings his family and friends, your house is no longer your house. It becomes a dorm and whatever beliefs and values you and your family held, they get pushed aside to make room for the strangers' beliefs and values because you have to respect their culture. It's this on a country wide scale.

I’m not Japanese but my outlook on it is - The work culture needs to change somehow. Yes to some foreigns but I don’t want to see Japan loose what makes it Japan, being culture, traditions, and social norms.
