Mrs Wilkes is a Savannah staple for southern cooking. Such a fun experience and I dream of the banana pudding.

Do not miss Bonaventure Cemetery. Savannah is different than Charleston as far as layout and architecture. It is also a working port city so you will see giant cargo ships along the riverwalk

It’s different than Charleston but super cute and Paula Deen’s restaurant has the best biscuits and chicken pot pie, among other things, however if you’re not familiar with her then there are other places as well.

You should eat at The Lady & Sons. It’s Paula Deen’s recipes and all of it is delicious. You have to have her peach cobbler ❤

Don't wear flip flops or heels on the old cobblestone streets. I tore a toenail.

FANCY PARKERS!!! You’ve been to Buccees, you’ve been to Wawa, now it’s time to try the most southern gas station eatery, but it has to be the location downtown near the Perry Lane Hotel. Also all the city squares, Bull street from Forsyth park to the river is picturesque the entire walk.

Do the little hop on and off tour. They share the history it’s very interesting. You’ll enjoy that. And you definitely have to do a ghost tour, but I would do more of a ghost tour that you ride around versus you walk.

The old pink is a classic dinner spot in Savannah. Foxy Loxy for coffee. If you need a break from southern food we really liked the Wexford Irish pub. Savannah is a great town you will love it.

Savannah is beautiful. If you can get a hotel on or across from Riverfront. Also the Marshall House hotel is historic and beautiful and haunted. It's a couple of blocks from the Riverfront. Fabulous restaurants all over. we like to stop in for a drink and appetizer and go onto the next stop to sample more restaurants. Do the trolley tours you can hop on and off all day

River St of course (even though it’s touristy) — take a look inside the JW Marriott; it’s stunning. Bonaventure Cemetery, Wormsloe Plantation (take a drive/walk down W Bluff Dr on Isle of Hope while you’re there), Jones St is often called the prettiest street in the US. The Olde Pink House and Treylor Park for food.

NOT comparable to Charleston at all. I wasn’t really impressed with Savannah… but I love Charleston. On the way up from Florida, St. Augustine, Florida is a great stop!

Avoid restaurants on Bay St. Tourist traps. Much diff than Charleston but so nice. City plans were laid out in England. Architecture reflects that.
