plumbers don’t always recommend flushing it out. Sometimes when you do so it will cause leaks then you will have to fully replace. The sediment buildup actually helps prevent leaks in some cases.

I installed my hot water heater 22 years ago never flushed it never had professional check never did nothing to it.... just now replaced it 22 years😁

Got a fun one for you…. I’m a renter in my house we have a 40 gallon hot water tank but hot water only lasts 10-15 minutes……. The tank is from 1990s and don’t believe it’s ever been flushed
