that happened to my brother's transmission he rebuilt the moter and transmission it took awhile the seals in the transmission cooler dryed up and caused coolant to go into his transmission and tore it up expensive lesson

Weller has a kit that comes with a cooler that bolts under the back box of that trans that works really well mine ran between 180/190 I had the same problem with the wet cooler smoked my trans also
