My question is why would the semi driver not have a dash cam. Then they wouldn’t they need to rely on the Tesla to show footage of before the accident. Sounds like a sad situation! I think i remember hearing about it in the news.

Only chance of recording is if the car was in sentry mode and this event triggered sentry mode.

As an adjuster, the fatality ones are so tough. I’ve had a few with children involved and it’s not something I wish anyone would have to deal with. I cried many tears handling them. They’re lengthy claims to deal with and a lot of hands involved. Hope you can get this dealt with smoothly and quickly. ❤

That car is still cargo. The “vehicles” would be the power unit and the trailer. Crazy that they are transitioning it to a “vehicle” on the crash report.

im a trucker and this same scenario happened to me a few weeks ago. I had stopped and waited for the green. 3/4 of the way through the construction i see headlights coming towards me. oncoming car ran the red. luckily I was able to stop and no accident happened. they backed up back to the light that was still red.
