Oscar Mitchell :
Does this mean that people who are allergic to grass are inevitably doomed to never truly ground themselves? Forever floating further and futher away from anything tangible and real? Sucks to be them I guess

One small note from a history professor: I beleive the term “Cuff” that Whitman used is from the West African (Akan-Ewe, contemporary Ghana and southern Togo) male name Kofi, which was common among African Americans in rhe 19th century and anglicized as “Cuffee.”

Grass is the most superficial surface. I find the people that ground by touching grass are those that need to just stay inside Walmart. Whitman’s grass wasn’t created by Monsanto and maintained by WeedKiller.

I might have just written about Walt Whitman in my mass media class today. I think this is my sign to read Leaves of Grass again

ironically I was about to touch the grass on my screen to speed through the quality oasis of appreciation for grass and miss the full effect of a portion of the effect of grounding would do. Speed through enjoyment, I'm glad I hesitated to fastford and enjoy the deliberate enjoyment of the concept of grounding, thank you

I am ready for lawns to leave, but the divide of childhoods defined by nature exploration to a new future is such a nice reoccuring aspect of humanity
