@gc.bioscience: Calum doesn’t sugar-coat it: if you have type 2 diabetes, the hard truth is that diet is the biggest driver. Overeating ultra-processed, calorie-dense foods and neglecting proper nutrition sets the stage for insulin resistance. It’s not about bad luck or a “slow metabolism.” It’s about the long-term impact of what goes on your plate. The good news? That means diet and lifestyle changes are also the most powerful tools for reversing or preventing type 2 diabetes before it leads to insulin dependence. Tough love, but backed by science. 🎧 Full discussion in Inside Blood, Episode 3. #InsideBloodPodcast #Type2Diabetes #NutritionMatters #ProcessedFoods #DiabetesAwareness

Yes, cause it can't be a side effect from other diseases like: Polycystic Ovary Synsrom Thyroid disease Cystic Fibrosis Hemochromatosis Or just plain genetic inherently 😏 Don't oversimplify this and stigmatize it as "Your fat and unhealthy, eat and exercise right" and it'll be fine.

Well this isn’t strictly accurate. My pancreas is crap because I have 4 autoimmune diseases therefore blood sugars spike and so do my white blood count

Well, you finally understand what you guys are saying but tell me why you get type two diabetes it’s not from diet and crap because then everybody would have it and I know there is a big percentage that do have type two but what you guys are talking about me as meaningless to me

You wont convince them of that, they will still say it magically happened and they "eat healthy and exercise"

it is a metabolic problem. I wasn't diabetic. ate responsible. went gym etc. then I had a surgery. it was quite traumatic. the stress also made me have IBS. I was then told I needed to eat every 4 hours. high fibre diet. small but often portions. my cals in were just under maintenence and heart healthy options. I ended up type 2 diabetes. it is how often you eat. too often means insulin is spiked regularly and never gets to go down. you could eat utter crap every day, one meal a day and be fine. but eat too often and keep insulin up you will become resistant regardless of food type or quantity. it is not eating too much. rather too often.

Blame the fast food gaffs that are opening up on mass, also, the bone idleness of people who won't cook a decent hearty meal.
