Game pass was the last "luxury" treat I was able to afford for my son. The sadness in his face when we had to cancel. I literally cannot budget that extra money. I feel horrible 😭😭

The worst part is that I had just gotten the 12K points needed to get a free month of Ultimate the DAY BEFORE they announced the price hike...and those bas***ds removed the free month as reward option 😫

I didn’t stop to think about the yearly cost for ultimate until this video.. 360 is crazy for access to games I’ll probably never have the desire to play. I canceled, I’m gonna upgrade my PS Plus subscription and Switch Online, and save money.

I did look at the different tiers and the ultimate sort of makes sense because they are including ea play and Ubisoft classic. but $30 is a bit much. Verizon gives me a credit that I use toward my game pass. but I'm like 😮💨😮💨 so hopefully they decide to lower the price back down

Im genuinely suprised enough people still used Xbox to crash the server to cancel subscription. Since microsoft put xbox library on steam and steam on Xbox I figured everyone just gave up on xbox like microsft is atm...

It’s almost equivalent to buying 4 games a year. Way too much money for not even owning them. There is not 1 game that was added to ultimate that I would play. This is a big loss for Xbox now.

I’m down grading from ultimate to premium the day before it charges the new price. I went to do it yesterday and it said I would get charged right then despite already being charged for ultimate already.

the lowest plan literally exists to encourage people to buy a more expensive one. it's a well worn manipulative marketing tactic. the only people who will buy it are lower income households and their exploitation is just seen as a bonus to MS

Canceled mine. The whole reason I was okay with it was because it cost less than the handful of games I buy a year. Now I'd spend more on this subscription than I would on just buying the games I want.

I still prefer gamepass over ps+ and Nintendo online 😅 I find I play more gamepass games then I ever played of Sony’s outdated collection. And Nintendo’s is not worth it at all. Online play should be free.

okay I think this Xbox gamepass price hikes an egregious choice but let not call Nintendo locking switch 2 upgrades behind a paywall and subscription a good deal when before that was just the benefit of buying a new console.

I mean, I’m not gonna lie. There was a certain point game pass was pretty cool, but I had a feeling it would go down this road. What bugs me the most is why they have to throw in the Fortnite stuff. Nothing against anyone that plays it and would definitely benefit them, but for people that don’t play that game basically wasting money on it.

I mean to be fair. that's a lot of day one games. I personally never understood renting games through game pass. I'd rather just buy the ones that I want. But the previous deal was literally bankrupting them, it was never going to last

they dropped a lot of ubisoft games on the Xbox cloud gaming app to play now and I saw South park stick of truth and was like wow there's at least one good game they added to play 😂 frfr most of the games on game pass are 0/10 and only a handful are decent
