If you take the train there's no pulling out an iPad to watch anything, email, etc. They are spacially and also noise conscious so dont do that.People mostly keep to themselves unless they know you. If you see someone passed out in front of their computer with their bag open its okay...No one is taking their stuff. Respect there is very important. Its also ridiculously clean.

The 7-11s are fantastic in Tokyo, they have the best food. You can dance in the parks, but no loud music. Don't touch people, or try to shake hands, a small bow is polite. Most do, but not everyone speaks English, so if you're lost and you ask someone, they may blow you off just bc they are embarrassed they can't answer you, don't take it personal. Cakes and pies and THE BEST in Tokyo, pick an afternoon and go eat pies and cakes in recommended places. Looking for good restaurants? look for the ones above street level in Ginja. Go do Karaoke, go clubbing, the touristy stuff is already so much different from what we know. Have fun, it's one of my favorite cities in the world!
