@drtylerjean: Does this irritate anyone else? Most of us grew up thinking spray deodorants, body sprays, and aerosol sunscreens were harmless. They are quick, easy, and leave no mess. But what often gets overlooked is what happens when you breathe them in. When you apply personal care products to your skin, most chemicals remain on the surface because your skin acts as a protective barrier. When you inhale sprays, the chemicals travel deep into the lungs and pass directly into the bloodstream. This happens without the filtering effect of your skin or digestion, which means your body absorbs them much faster and in higher amounts. Phthalates are commonly found in fragrance and plastics, and they are known to disrupt hormones such as testosterone and estrogen. Phthalates are often hidden in products because they can be included under the term “fragrance” or “parfum,” which does not have to be legally disclosed on the label. Parabens are used as preservatives and can act like estrogen in the body. Certain chemical sunscreen ingredients like oxybenzone are also linked to hormone disruption and may be harmful if inhaled. The propellants and nanoparticles used in sprays can irritate the lungs and circulate through the bloodstream as well. Sprays may feel convenient, but the risks are often hidden. And it’s your health that suffers… #infertility #parabens #petpeeve #asthma #holistichealth
