@beingtheblooms: I was SO excited about these terracotta peel and stick tiles... until I felt them 😬 They’re foam. FOAM. And the adhesive is so strong I’m worried about what it would do to rental walls. But you know me… I test things so you don’t have to wonder if they work! So here’s my compromise: I’m installing them on poster board first to see how they actually perform in my kitchen 🤷♀️ The installation? Super easy. The dimension? Actually gorgeous. The plastic feel? Still bothering me (they are sticky) But I’m giving them a real test behind my toaster oven for a few weeks. Because maybe I’m wrong about these tiles? (Probably not, but let’s see!) Stay tuned for the honest update! I will NOT be linking these right now because I am not really a big fan 😬 (this might change as I test them) #peelandstick #backsplash #renterfriendly #diyhome #producttest #terracotta #kitchendecor #homeimprovement #honestreviews #budgetdiy #rentalfriendly #diyfail #homedecortest #kitchenupdate
Seems like the foam peel and stick tiles are super popular but very true it’s not renter friendly however what about putting a barrier in between? like contact paper that is renter friendly or another barrier

Is that fire rated? I get nervous they're going to melt or smoke the debris would make me nervous.

maybe you could do a layer of removable contact paper under to make removal easier 🤔

Put up an easier to remove wall paper first and then the tiles on top of the wall paper. That will make tear off easier. ❤️❤️❤

I think it looks good. Honestly if I were doing it in my home I’d want it to stick well.

okay, this is insane, butttttt you can masking tape the outline of real tiles, use command strips to stick the tiles on, and then carefully grout. the masking tape should prevent the grout from soaking into the wall and it's all removable

Wait what a good idea to put it on something! Then I can use 3M to stick that up so it’s not a permanent thing and won’t damage to take down!
