as much as I love IH, they made A LOT of bad moves and had a "too big" to fail mentality. there r and d was weak. the 560 was a prime example the pushed the "M" chassis as far as it could go and had the "they'll buy it because it's red" arrogance

Its a good theory. I think they cared it was a success, but was going after the people that thought a v8 had to be better. Even though everybody had to know a v8 wasn't going to have the torque. Who knows.

We had two of them and where great field tractors. One had chrome straight pipes, orher factory. Only thing I didn't like was it was a little hard to shift.
