They seek out vulnerable prey, the young, the sick, the damaged, the grieving, the struggling, the isolated, the exceptionally well-meaning. 2. They isolate their prey from the pack, from their family, their colleagues, their friends, their community (through lying convincingly about their prey and other underhanded strategies). 3. They weaken their prey through demeaning, demanding, derailing, disorienting, distressing. 4. They go in for the kill. They destroy their prey through extreme emotional, mental, sexual, professional, physical, reputational, financial, and/or relational abuse. 5. They are satiated and satisfied once they have metaphorically devoured or killed the prey. A good day’s work includes suicide of a target. Sound extreme and rare? It is normal and common - potentially upward of 10% of the population are predators.
