My fathers family all lives to 95-105 while being alcoholic and eating trash all the time while my moms family usually passes in their 70s or early 80s while living alot healthier its mostly genetic at the end

My family generally lives into the 90s. I’m not trying to do that but I have bad luck so it’ll probably happen.

Agreed. My mother will be 103 next month- favorite foods are roast meat, pork chops and crispy lamb fat, cakes and pies and very few vegetables. Nothing wrong with her except hearing otherwise 100% aware.

its the heart. you can loose everything else. eye sight, ability to walk, hearing, teeth and cognitive skills. if your heart is strong you'll live along time

My DNA test results said that I had the halo group of jeans that live to be the longest from 80 to 120 years old. My biological father still crushes stuff on the table and sniffs it up and says yahoo 72

But their chidlren and their grandchildren are sick and dying. So I don’t think we will see that beyond these folks. There may be pockets of longevity but this will be the last of this genetic proclivity.

My grandpa was almost 101 when he passed, and his wife, my grandma is going to celebrate 99 this year. They are not related. You won’t convince me their lifestyle didn’t contribute. He was an avid gardener. They ate homemade food (often homegrown) for pretty much every meal (he didn’t believe in going out) and also read the bible everyday. Both have had their minds the entire time too!

genes play all the roll possible how long u live. and how healthy u will live. I eat 200 to 300 sometimes 400 grams of sugar a day and I been doing this over 30 years. 42 now still muscular, still strong, still active every day. then there is other people that go diabetic off 150 grams of sugar in under 5 years.

Every study has shown the best predictor of centenarians within a population is poor record keeping. Not genetics.
