The way I ALWAYS play this game when bringing it to game night is I actually have real candles as the only light source in the room when playing. Each player gets their own candle and if their candle goes out in game they have to physically blow out the candle and the entire game is darker and harder to see and the more candles that go out, it adds another challenge to the game which is to just see the game itself. One time we were down to one candle and we asked the player who was left to walk away from the table and stand just far enough away to where you can only see the outline of the player and the tile they were holding, it was the last tile of the game so we said we would know if it was a monster or not depending on if the candle blew out and sure enough the entire room went dark. It was so fun.
