It’s not that we hate to see her happy, we hate to see her make music for the sake of giving her fans something. Evermore and folklore were born out of the human need to create and express emotions and it SHOWS. Showgirl lacks any passion for me.

the people saying it's just a pop album, it's fun, are so annoying to me because Taylor's claimed the album had a focused theme , obviously the life of a showgirl, behind the curtains, which should include deeper themes. I really don't understand what it is we learned about what goes on behind the curtains of the life of a showgirl. also the lyrics are not like what folklore offers, like taylor claimed. I don't dislike the album, but it's not beyond criticism nor do I think it's worthy of the status taylor is as a pop star
