Making Patricia's Headpiece from Widows Bay This took me about a week of working on it for a couple hours eqch day. +Started with a headband with a very puffy top and sewed combs to the underside of that to hold the whole thing on my head. +The fox head. Fox face was from a garage sale ages ago, but try sourcing a dog toy or stuffed animal. To support it, I made a sort of pillow with ears and sewed felt into what basically looked like a loose slice of cake, so a triangle with flat bottom. Added cones of felt to support the ears. +The teeth are squished cones of worbla painted with acrylic. They are purposely not primed to give them a gnarly look. +Hot glue the teeth to the bottom of the head pillow and then sandwich with another piece of felt. +Hand sew the whole face on the pillow and pillow to to the headband. If you sew the pillow to the band tightly, you can curve it over where it will sit over your face. +Rest of the materials were from amazon: Faux antlers, branches, moss and raffia. +Hot glued the antlers on the headband and then did a couple loops around them and the headband with string to secure. +Same with branches. Cut those up a bit beforehand to get some smaller pieces to sew behind the head. +Did a final hot glue over the branches/antlers where they connected to the headband, then painted the hot glue black. +Used my sewing machine to sew clumps of the raffia between two strips of black felt. Then hand sewed the raffia strip to the back of the head pillow. +Hot glued the moss over the headband, hiding the bottoms of the antlers and branches. +Watered down some brown acrylic paint and used my hands to wipe it all over the whole thing, especially the raffia. +Finally, used a clear spray paint over the moss to get it to stick together more and keep it from shedding too much. And now you're ready for sunset cocktails. #halloween #costume #cosplay #tutorials #maker
