I asked my mother when I was maybe 9/10 to have lessons for the Cello.. I never got them, every time I hear the sound of one it hurts me in a sweet way if that makes sense

i play cello but i started when i was 13 but im constantly so regretful bc in primary schl we did a test and a few kids would get picked to play and instrument through a program and the only part our parents had to pay for was the instrument and my teacher said she really wants me to play cello and im perfect for it, but my parents didnt let me bc they didnt wanna buy a cello bc they thought i wouldnt stick w it😭

As a violinist, the cello is the top tier stringed instrument. You can vicerally feel a cello in ways that most instruments cannot compete with. Not to say that there aren't many beautiful sounding instruments, because there are, but cellos... enough said.
