We wouldn't even know we're dead because we're not conscious anymore; it would be just the same as before we were born. But the thought of death, the thought of not existing or experiencing life anymore, is what scares me. All of our hard work, suffering, and achievements... just to be forgotten as time passes. And although I believe in Christ and the afterlife, there are just some days where I can't help but wonder if there really is an afterlife or if it is just something made up by our ancestors because they, too, are afraid of the nothingness that comes after death.
