Ive always known animals are conscious. You just need to spend time with them under the assumption that theyre a creature with wants and needs and likes and dislikes and intelligence and my god, what isnt conscious? Birds can decide they like you or not, wasps will remember your face. Bees literally tell each other where to fly to find food. Life is wonderful, i stopped placing it into human confines a decade or more ago

and I bet, even living beings without a brain as we identify it, have some kind of consciousness. Like plants or very simple little beings. Consciousness is a property of life itself. And it depends on the other mechanisms that a living being uses to be aware of their surroundings, that consciousness becomes more complex and deep.

I never understood why it took so long for humans to research and understand this. Many species have conscious just cause we are different and cannot understand them doesn't mean they aren't conscious or hold emotion like we do. 😭😭 it's really interesting
