@kuzushikev: Old school finger lock techniques from jujutsu. Yubi dori to sankyo. Stapling their arm to the floor with my feet so I can step away safely. #aikido #jujutsu #judo #martialarts
Excellent video and techniques sir!!
All the questions and statements in regards to efficacy always entertain me!
Aikido,Judo, even TKD, and many more have so many viewers in doubt and its one of the few subjects and sports that completely make people forget what practice looks like! You practice hundreds if not thousands of layups to slam dunk. Practice scrimmages in football at slower paces and without fully tackling your teammates. Repetitions in practice so many times for days, weeks, months and years. No one ever states that's not what it looks like or would never work. Or it must be nice with such a compliant lineman, who's not actually tackling you to the ground! Because they understand what practice is and why you wouldn't want you go full power or speed, hurt someone during practice!
The irony here?
Aikido and judo are very much so effective and super realistic!! Every real violent encounter I've had and seen quickly went to clinch position!! Wrist manipulations are far easier to access than people realize when you're in the clinch and someone has grabbed you. Just like pulling up an arm bar in jujitsu, once they've grabbed on you have access and you have to work/train hard to pull it off in any position!! All of those types of things
you can choose whether or not you take it to the point of breaking bone, hyperextending, or merely subduing to stop someone without hurting them!
