Sparks arent just out in the open its inside of the engine which has airtight gaskets around the spark plugs. Been filling my car up with the engine on for 5 years every single time i got gas and never had one issue.

And when you start your car every single time that alternator sparks and the starter as well, so you risk it either way, and either wya the chance is so small you’d probably have a higher chance of getting on a plane one time and it crashing
