@jjetstream_1: PMC Blackwater USA was founded in 1997 by former US SEAL officer Eric Prince, 27, and marksmanship instructor Al Clark, as a security company that would train military and law enforcement officers. Eric Prince graduated from Gilesdale College and worked at the White House, then graduated from the Naval Academy and served in Special Forces. After the civilian incident in 2007, the company fell on hard times. The blow to the agency’s reputation was so severe that they had to completely reorganize their organizational structure. In 2009, the company was renamed Xe Services LLCC, and in 2011 it became known as Academi. However, everyone still knows them as Blackwater. Eric Prince stepped down and various special forces took over management and control. In 2014, Academi merged with Triple Canopy, a subsidiary of the Constellis Group. Later, Academi was fully integrated into the parent company and now operates under the name Constellis.
