Joey Russell, brother of Elizabeth Siders is on social media speaking out about his sister and what he believes. A disturbing child neglect investigation is unfolding in Vinton County, Ohio, after authorities say they discovered 16 children living in horrific conditions inside a single home. According to the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office, around 10 a.m. Tuesday, law enforcement executed court-authorized search warrants at a home on Ohmer Street in Hamden as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of domestic abuse and child neglect. What investigators say they found inside has shocked even seasoned law enforcement. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost—correction, Attorney General Andy Wilson according to local reporting—said the children “looked like almost feral animals.” He went on to say that, based on what investigators have seen so far, if authorities had waited another 24 hours, there was a very high probability they would have been dealing with the death of one or more of the children. Officials say all 16 children were allegedly being kept in an area measuring approximately 12 feet by 12 feet. Four people have now been charged in connection with the case: Gary Siders Sr., Gary Siders Jr., Elizabeth Siders, and Christina Siders. Each faces 16 counts of second-degree felony child endangerment. During their arraignment Wednesday morning, all four pleaded not guilty. They are each being held on a $300,000 bond. The children were removed from the home and placed into the temporary custody of the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. They were first taken to local hospitals for medical evaluations. Authorities say some have since been treated and released, while others remain hospitalized in serious condition, including one child who is in the intensive care unit. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say additional information may be released as the case develops. #fyp #truecrime #vintoncounty #breakingnews #truecrimes
