Not me tearing up at the end 🥲❤️‍🩹 we recently swapped his AAC to LAMP Words For Life - initially focusing on just requesting things like more or open etc. but I’ve been watching a bunch of videos & tutorials over the weekend to start experimenting with it more & learning how to functionally model it day to day, and it’s been so special seeing the look on his face as he realises just how much this device can say… and how it can really be his voice 🥹 a lot of videos I saw spoke about the importance of following their lead - and Jassy’s current hyper fixation on this song is the perfect example! We used the colour folder to encourage him to speak the colours to go along with the song, he has poor fine motor skills so we’ll offer to help guide him & you can see when he shows interest in participating by extending his pointer finger out - and the times he doesn’t want to, I just model it myself. Either way, it’s so exciting seeing him show such interest & engagement 🥹❤️‍🩹 #asdmum #autism #nonspeaking #aac
