Change your oil every 5000km or twice a year, whichever comes first.
Or replace your engine early.

How is fresh oil sitting in an engine pan any different than fresh oil sitting in a new oil jug?

So the new oil in a bottle on the store shelf has an expire date?
What's the difference from the oil being in your car or in a jug?

problem is short trips and not driving long enough for the condensation to boil out of the oil. my old truck hasn't had an oil change in over a year becuse I maybe drive it once a month. but when I do Its like a hour drive to get everything warmed up and moving. best tip is checking your oil cap. if its a milky film then theres too much condensation and short trips and ya probably should still change it every 3 to 6 months

oil sitting there does not wear out
Only running it in the car does
