Guys you have to remember that this area doesn’t usually experience hurricane’s and larger storms alike. This area is typically pretty calm and peaceful when it comes to the ocean. It’s rare this kind of thing happens. If it happened more often, of course they would have built accordingly. Areas that get hit with storms regularly are going to be more prepared than those who don’t, like this area. Stop hating on the homeowners and the builders. They couldn’t have predicted this and they didn’t ask for it. It’s not like Florida where the whole coast is built to withstand a hurricane. If hurricanes and tides can take down some of our structures that are built to withstand them, of course structures like this will crumble. Give this area some grace guys, they weren’t prepared to lose everything.
