Bruhhhhh do we think EDS contributes to easier births though? Because they just slide right out? Because, yes, pregnancy was a nightmare. But actual delivery was a breeze.

Just in case anyone with hypermobility is watching this and dreading pregnancy, please know it can also be a wonderful time. 2 pregnancies, pain free except for some mild aches and pains that were usually relieved with yoga, and I had easy births with no tearing. It can go either way!

POTS and pregnancy please. I was told that my baby or myself would not survive.

The ligament pain was awful. I wish this stuff had been talked about back when I had kids. Long term damage to my body was profound.

I am 32 weeks with suspected hyper-mobility and currently under the care and regimen of an osteopath. I am so uncomfortable all the time. SPD makes it hard to walk and a pretty much straight diaphragm makes it hard to breathe when it's already hard at this stage

Yep, I had to quit working at 6 months & go to physical therapy. I still do some of the things the PT taught me, 13 years later.

I got really bad sciatica during pregnancy but the sickness I had the entire pregnancy was horrendous. In the end i weighed less than I did before I got pregnant. There was a study about EDS and sickness. The easiest part of the pregnancy was the labour though!!!!

I had crippling plantar fasciitis with both pregnancies. I could barely walk across the room. Didn’t know until my youngest was 6 that I had EDS.

I had chiro visits fortnightly and then weekly, pregnancy support belt anytime I walked anywhere, stretches in the morning and at night, and as much rest as possible. Even then I was still in pain but it improved significantly and once I gave birth I started strength training 4 weeks PP (body weight and very gentle to start). 9 months PP and I feel almost back to normal (well as normal as you can feel when hyper mobile 😅)

I have the kind of EDS where my pelvic floor decided to overactivate to keep me stable. My bladder prolapsed too. I had my last baby 7 yrs ago and my pelvic floor is STILL overactivated😭

Pregnancy hurt so much. I didn't know I had hEDS. I went to pelvic floor physio and still had a rectocele 8 years later

I just had SIJ Fusion due to 16+ years of SIJ dysfunction after my first baby. Also had to have abdominoplasty for muscle repair bc my 6” diastasis recti never recovered either.

My absolute main problem is that after I gave birth everything got very stiff and tight. Its been 18 months and I am in so much pain. Its never been below a 5 since then. I don't have a diagnosis and I haven't received any help. I go to dr after dr and nothing.

It also increases the risk for ectopic pregnancy 🥲 they don’t tend to mention that one until it happens
