It has been a JOURNEY in my postpartum after giving birth to my second baby girl… I found myself at my heaviest weight yet staring at a body I didn’t even recognize anymore feeling beyond guilty for even caring what I looked like after having my baby. The thoughts of “will my body ever go back to before?” crossed my mind & I felt afraid that no one would take me seriously as a pilates instructor (super toxic + not true !!!) This journey has not only been a journey of learning to love myself every step of the way but also a journey of leaning on God when the insecurity is high & the intrusive thoughts are loud… I’m 4 months postpartum & tbh I haven’t really been doing anything extreme. It’s wild to see what consistency does for results! I’ve been focusing on healthy habits + doing what I can after my kids go down for bed & trying to get steps in where I can throughout the day… whether it’s walking to the store instead of driving, taking the stairs instead of elevator. Small habits add up! Also God straight up healed my pelvic floor. I was going to pelvic floor therapy and nothing was working. All temporary fixes. I could barely have any resistance on my body, carrying my baby hurt, walking hurt. It was beyond hard bc I am a pilates instructor for a living and couldn’t even workout without pain. My mother in law prayed for me and I felt the Holy Spirit so thick and the pain left!! Other things I’ve loved is taking progress pics weekly-ish when I remember! I still have a ways to go to where my goal weight is but seeing the change in just a few months is so eye opening and motivating + I feel so much more energized and just good! I’m learning that a weight loss journey doesn’t have to be toxic or all or nothing. Truly daily consistency is and letting God heal my relationship with my body is the move! #weightloss #weightlossjourney #postpartum #pilates
