Work hard? I’m sorry but don’t they work like 30 hours a week and get mandatory vacation 3-6 weeks per year. Plus all the social safety nets in place.

I agree with a lot of what they are saying but I have to say, especially going through this horrible administration we’re in right now, the us is like 50 European countries in one, so we get news of what’s happening in 50 different places and it’s a lot, especially because we all affect each other with what goes on in each state. So trying to stay up to date on other countries, while not having a panic attack about our own, is really difficult right now. I still listen when I hear about things going on in other parts of the world but I feel powerless in my own so I don’t feel like I would really bring anything to the conversation about other ones.

You can trace it back to the 2008 economic crash. America bounced back quicker than anyone else but Europe never recovered and has had a shrinking economy ever since. The young people in many countries have no real future. That’s a source of a lot of the hostility.

from the first clips ~ so basically you have money - because there are dumb people everywhere as someone who travels a lot and has lived abroad during bush Obama and trump- none of it matters (president) in the long run- they've been saying this about us .and it's wild- people have said the most ignorant shit to me -" I didn't know Americans read,or are smart etc 🙄 I will say many of the nice nonjudgemental people I've met who aren't forming their opinion from a tv show or one person they met normally say they like us because we are so friendly and nice 🤷🏻

I have felt like they have hated us since trump came into power. You are so right though, it’s a negative undercurrent. I’m always scared to speak English because they will know immediately I’m American, but I always say, I’m from California so hopefully they feel better about me 😂

America is a large country. How can you make a judgment if you haven’t visited all 50 states and really got to know it’s people. Just can’t go to the tourist spots and think that is America. I could do the same thing when I go to Europe and could come up with the same conclusion.
