I can remember being assaulted at daycare back in the 90s at about 3/4 years old. If there’s not enough people to watch the kids or if there are older age kids mixed with younger, things can happen.

People always judge me because I stay at home with my baby while my husband works two jobs. He does it voluntarily because he doesn't want her in daycare for reasons like this. It was his suggestion and idea and hes happy to work two jobs to make sure this NEVER happens. But I'm the horrible person for not getting a job 🙃 🙄

my oldest daughter is 3 and knows privates stay private. we have had a huge conversation (several times) about it. she knows what her parts are called and that no one is allowed to see or touch them (aside if she needs assistance and its only from her teachers or a trusted adult)

Aww hell nah. Our oldest in my daycare is 4 and the youngest is 1 and we still get annoyed and tell them they cannot go in the bathroom & they have gotten a hang of it for the most part unless they really have to use the bathroom. Where are the caregivers at while this is all happening!!?

My twin boys are 3 and non verbal and are about to go into a early Lea class in December to help them learn about communication. hearing about stuff like this when you have a non verbal child is so terrifying….I know my child needs the help and need the schooling but how am I supposed to trust a stranger to watch my kids when they can’t even communicate to me if they got hurt or not. unless it’s visible I would have no clue if my boys where hurt in school. 😩😩😩

If you are gonna put kids in daycare it’s best to wait till they are old enough to speak. I’ve heard to many horror stories

If you are responsible for a kid, you are their guardian. Like guardians of the galaxy. We are our children’s full army and military. What we teach our kids is armor to defend against attack. Maybe it’s running, saying no, understanding strange behavior, or telling an adult something that happened. We have to arm our kids with the tools they need when we can’t be right there to protect them. Also, if you are a sane adult, you should be willing to protect other kids that aren’t yours too.

the problem with this kind of education is that its usually given by parents who demonstrate the exact opposite with you. its parents who will punish you for ever saying no when youre uncomfortable. it's parents who will scream at you, belittle you, and publicly shame you for saying no. so, by the time you have to use it against sexual abuse, youre already too scared from your experiences trying it on things that weren't sexual abuse to say no.
