Thanks for saying what I’ve been thinking for a long time. God hates religion, He just wants us to follow Him. At the end of the day as long as we’re following Him that should be enough, but people have turned it into a battle of who’s right and who’s wrong.

Some of the worst people I’ve ever met were the leaders of churches or sitting in the front row. I’ve found god more sitting in a pasture or on the back of a horse than I ever did sitting in a pew. We’ve had some serious talks.

Most churches aren’t it anymore - the relationship you hold along with reading the actual word of God is a better learning experience than most churches will teach anymore. They try to cater to too many and lost the plot

I could not agree with you more. Church or religious trauma is so real and ever present! It’s ok to believe and be faithful without communing in a building where so called church leaders tell you what to think!

And about money! I left my favorite church of almost ten years because they were constantly asking for donations, selling merch and having classes during the week that’s $75 a person.

I never thought about it this way.Youre right. I was raised to believe in God, went to Bible school but not church services. The first song my mom taught me was Jesus Loves Me. I don’t go to church and always felt bad that I didn’t until now. God knows me. He sees. I don’t need a pew to make me do the right thing even though I thought of myself as lesser than the ones that did. I don’t see it that way anymore.
