@deeprootstalltrees: Yes, that is Lloyd drinking a cantaloupe. His stories were amazing and heartbreaking. Shall I post some Lloyd stories? The first one that comes to mind: He once told me about an underground club in Chicago that was targeted and raided and shot up and then burned down in an attempt to get rid of a certain group of people. Many of these gentlemen were so badly burned, and at the time took weeks to be identified. There was a big coverup story and red tape. Lloyd worked on a book project to give each one of these people a story, so that they would not be forgotten. Lloyd was truly an amazing man. He also advocated for women in the 1960s in every way possible. He believed that the buying decisions in 1960s suburbia was driven by women, not men. And he turned out to be right and spoke at many conferences across the country. We were in cahoots together to try and get Chicago buildings to allow advertising on rooftops near the airport. This is the other part of the system that is needed. You can't buy a house without insurance. So if nobody will write you the insurance, you can't have a home. This man provided a chance at life for countless people who were denied it.
