@tommy.hurrell: 5 days post-amputation. There’s so much more to losing a leg than I ever imagined. I thought it would be: surgery, a couple of days in hospital, then home. Turns out, not quite. I’ll be here for another week or two before heading to rehab, where the real work begins. And honestly, I can’t wait to escape the constant beeping machines and the blinding LED lights above me.
